______________, I accept you to be my wife, (husband) secure in the knowledge that you will be my friend for always, my faithful partner in life, and my one true love. On this special day, I give to you this ring, in the presence of all those in attendance as a symbol of my promise, to stay by your side. As your husband (wife) in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, as well as through good times and bad, I promise to love you, comfort you in times of distress, laugh with you, and cry with you, grow with you in mind, always be open and honest with you, and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.
I am blessed to have you to be my wife. I desire to be all you will ever need in a husband. Loving, willing, comforting, open minded and honest. I will walk with you, stand beside you, help you up if you fall, and carry you in times of sickness or loss.
Unshakable love is love that will not let go, the love of passionate demands and passionate tears, love that will not accept defeat. With you, I am grateful to be given a husband to share something as strong and determined as unshakable love. You are my unique gift from God.
I promise to you, __________, to be patient, encouraging, respectful, supportive and strengthening through good times and times of trial. In this book of my life, I close one chapter and open another. All previous chapters have existed to prepare me for this marriage to you, my unconditional love. I vow to share all that I am today and all that I may become in our book going forward. We will write these new pages together. I promise you laughter and we will write of happiness, I will promise you great adventures and we will write of travel. I promise you endless curious questions and we will write of learning. We will write new choices and of our mistakes, of mountains and deserts, sun and snow, wine and lyrics, and even of toy soldiers and science fiction. We will write of our children and grandchildren, And when the pages of past chapters start to yellow as we grow old together, I promise to be by your side until we close this book together. I wrote these words and I speak these words from my heart, I love you so much. You make my story the way it was meant to be written.
Repeat after me: With this ring, I promise you my love for today and tomorrow: I promise you as much happiness as I can give; I promise not to doubt or mistrust you, but to grow and add to your life. I promise never to try to change you, but accept the changes you make yourself; I promise I'll be there to hold your hand in hard times, calm you in distressed times and offer my help even when your pride may keep you from asking for it. I promise I will always stand by you and will strive everyday to make our relationship stronger. I promise I will be your friend, your love, and your partner. With this ring, I give you my heart for all the days of our lives.
